God created a place called Heaven for his angels and saints.  The Bible tells us that it is a beautiful place where the streets are made of gold, the walls are made of jasper, the gates are made of pearls, and much more that we can not even imagine.  He made a way for all mankind to enter this place but the one thing that keeps us from entering is sin.  Because of the sin of Adam and Eve sin has been passed down through the generations and  all men are born as sinners.  This can be seen in any child.  You do not have to teach a child to lie.  You have to teach a child to tell the truth and do what is right.  This sin we are born with is what prevents us from entering the wonderful place God has made for us.  But God knew our sin would be a problem and that is why He sent Jesus, God's Son, to die on the cross and pay the penalty for our sin.  We could not pay the penalty because we are sinners.  It took a perfect sacrifice to pay the price and that sacrifice was found in Jesus.  He lived on earth for around 30 years and was sinless.  Then, He willingly gave his life to pay for our sins.  God has told us in His Bible that if we will believe in Jesus we will have everlasting life. (John 3:16)  If we will believe in Him we will be cleansed of our sin and be able to enter the place God made for us in the beginning.
